Northern Lights

While photographing polar bears in Northern Manitoba, I was fortunate to see the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) one evening around 9 p.m.  It was an amazing sight, making it most difficult to stop photographing them.  After two (2) hours in the blistering cold temperature and winds, I called it quits, as both my cable release and my “trigger” finger had become quite inflexible. 

The stars were more clear than I have ever seen.  The Big Dipper can be seen in several of the photos below.  Truly, an incredible experience!
